Advising Schedule
Drop-in advising is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. When visiting the department without an appointment, you can expect extended wait times. We would like for you to have the best possible advising experience so, for your convenience, consider virtual drop-ins.
Winter Break runs from December 19 through January 1. The campus has abbreviated hours on December 26, 27, and 30 and reopens for the spring semester on January 2, 2025.

- On-campus drop-ins are located in the Moody Learning Center (MLC) on the ground floor.
Appointments are available for students who have an assigned advisor. New SAC students are assigned an advisor by census day of their first semester on campus and can begin scheduling appointments after attending a general advising session. Visit "My Page" on ACES to view "My Advisor".

- Spring 2025 appointments (January 27 - May 9)
- Transient (visiting) students are able to meet with advisors through in-person and virtual (Zoom) drop-ins only.
To schedule a Zoom appointment with your assigned Certified Advisor:
- Log in to your ACES account & click on the “Start Here” tab
- Select the “Alamo NAVIGATE” icon
- Click “Login”
- Select the “Appointments” tab
- Select “Schedule an Appointment”
- Select the reason for your appointment and click Next
- Select the location and click Next
- Select the day and time that works for you and click Next
- Enter “Zoom Appointment” in the Notes box
- Review the selection and confirm your appointment
